What to do when you don't have a list

"The Money is in the List"

No doubt you've heard this marketing truth a million times. The trouble is, many businesses, maybe even yours, don't have a list and don't know how to get started.

Fret not my my hard working entrepreneur friend, you may not realize it, but every business has several very valuable lists easily within it's grasp.  Let me show you where to find them and what to do with them to quickly increase sales with little to no extra effort:

Old Business Cards - Take down those shoeboxes and fishbowls containing all the business cards you've collected over the years from trade shows, visitors, and past promotions. Enter their names on an excel spreadsheet.

Invoices - Got a file cabinet full of customer files and invoices? Get them out and add them to your spreadsheet. Are you using financial or accounting programs such as Quickbooks? Export your contact list and save it to an Excel or "CVS" file.

Past Sent Emails - Your sent folder in programs like Outlook or GMail are loaded with hundreds or thousands of contacts.  Go Get 'Em!

Old Address Books - Got any of those old analog "Black Books" lying around? You know what to do.

Excel Files, & Reports - Chances are you have tons of these files on your hard drive.  You might even have to dust off that old IBM 386 and boot it up.  It's worth it... There's GOLD in there!

People Worked With / Worked For - Time to reach out to some old associates. They'll love to catch up with you and help you network.

Social Media - Reach out to everybody you know on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and so forth. Let them know that you're sending out an update and need their email address.  Many will love to hear from you.

Networking Events / Business Associations - You belong to these for a reason. Many of these associations have member lists available to you.

Friends, Friends of FriendsFamilyFriends of Family - Don't filter out anybody. Add them all to your list.

Put together an Excel spreadsheet containing all these contacts.  Chances are you have plenty of hot prospects that are "Ready, Willing and Able" (RWA) to buy from you right now. I'll show you how in my training video "Gathering Your Contacts".
